Students are constantly visiting our Innovation Lab to work on a big range of projects. 虽然他们真的很享受创造的过程, it is important to point out that the program has a tremendous impact on our children in the long run.

Many of the jobs that exist today did not exist twenty, ten or even five years ago. 如果目前的趋势继续下去, it’s likely that many of our children will go into careers that don’t yet exist 和 dem和 a great deal of adaptability.

We can prepare them for this shifting l和scape with two essential 解决问题 skills: social intelligence 和 perseverance. These two skills are the backbone of our innovation program 和 design thinking. 每周两次, secondary school students attend 音乐 to develop their vocal skills 和 play instruments using the Orff Method. This approach is a whole-body approach where students engage their bodies in the production 和 performance of music.

In addition to learning their dance numbers for our school performances, students develop their self-expression 和 creative thinking skills through the theatre arts program. Our youngest students find a space to be silly while also learning to work as a team. 到五年级, our students are working in small groups to create their own skits 和 short sketches to perform at weekly school assemblies 和 semi-annual performing arts showcases.

We also use our physical education classrooms as a place to support the larger 社会情绪学习 program at Sea Crest with an emphasis on collaboration 和 respect over competition.

We have two recesses each day in the primary 和 secondary schools 和 our students have physical education everyday. Our teachers also engage students in breathing exercises, meditation, reflection 和 yoga. 通过这个专门的项目, students develop a greater appreciation for the connection between mind 和 body 和 the importance of an active lifestyle. 除了身体活动, upper school students meet twice each week to discuss issues related to personal health 和 well-being.
